The MAB has an Appeals Committee established in line with Act CCIV of 2011 on national higher education and Government Decree 19/2012 of 22 February 2012 on certain aspects of quality assessment and improvement in higher education to ensure that a new expert opinion to be formulated by the MAB on the same issue or regarding the same person in the context of a single process is formulated on the basis of unbiased and objective considerations. Remedy against decisions of the MAB Board may be sought through request for appeal. Concerns regarding any other aspect of the processes of the MAB may be addressed through complaints. A request for appeal must be submitted by the rector of the institution lodging the appeal, while anybody may make a complaint. Request for appeal regarding regarding new programme applications must be submitted to the Educational Authority. Request for appeal regarding university professor applications must be submitted to the Ministry for Innovation and Technology.
